Laina McDaniel

Laina McDaniel joined Landmark in 2017 as a staff accountant and has grown with the firm throughout her career, now serving as a Tax Director. She provides tax planning and compliance services to a variety of clients, with extensive experience serving financial institutions, healthcare organizations, nonprofits, and individuals.

Laina specializes in multi-state taxation, consolidations, and staff training. Clients rely on her to help them identify tax-saving opportunities and develop strategies that minimize tax liabilities while supporting their long-term goals. She is also passionate about mentoring the next generation of professionals and finds great fulfillment in training and developing Landmark team members.

A graduate of the University of Central Arkansas, Laina earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, summa cum laude. She is also a graduate of the Arkansas Society of Certified Public Accountants Leadership Academy (2023).

Laina resides in Arkansas with her husband, Cole. Outside the office, she enjoys reading, walking her dogs, and spending time along the Buffalo River. Fun fact: her maiden name is Hatfield, and yes, she’s one of those Hatfields.
